ultrasound, and then ballgame

K displayed superhuman patience as we darted from building to building in the Yonge and Queen area this morning and afternoon. Revolving doors with a toddler are a true adventure. Not an adventure like Homer's Odyssey. No. It was more like a Marx Brothers film (let's say A Night at the Opera because I love that film). By 3:30 we got to the front of the ultra-sound line. K was very excited to see her tiny little sibling on the computer. We all were!

After the ultra-sound adventure, my dad took me to the ballgame. His seats are very posh. Almost right behind home plate. When I buy seats it's more like the title of the Kinks' 18th album ... low budget. Even with our posh seats, however, there were three things we couldn't see: Sammy Sosa, Raphael Palmeiro, or any runs by the Jays. The Jays lost to the Orioles by a score of 7-0. What's up with that? The Orioles are at least 10 games below .500! After the game we went to check out the Jays shop. For a paltry sum of $40 you can purchase a strip of Skydome turf from the 92 and 93 World Series. Turf from 92 and 93! Isn't that something? What if cutting up the turf into little pieces has put a curse on the Jays?
