apple picking

We took K apple picking with her Papa Allan today. We went to a spot called Chudley's (which is in Milton). It was quite a vast apple orchard with a mini-farm and a whole lot of activities for kids. K liked the animals best. I think the deer were her favourite because of the Bambi connection. Actually, I'm not sure if she preferred the animals or the balloons. K spotted the balloons early in the day and before we left we made sure she got a red balloon. Then, while we were in the car, my dad opened the sunroof and out went K's balloon when she accidently let go of her string. Quite a few tears were shed as K wistfully watched her red balloon drifting away into the horizon as she gazed out the window.
