Pusher - a short film review

Our filmfest jigsaw activity was yesterday. It was a lot of fun. I caught Pusher with Paul, & I also got to hear about two very different flicks. Pusher is a Danish flick directed by Nicholas Winding Refn. It reminds me a bit of Mean Streets. Although the main character is a real scoundrel I wanted things to work out for him. As events unfold (an array of money and drug deal mix-ups) his life spins more and more out of control. As everything spins out of control the impending violence becomes intense. Very intense. I was trying to grow my fingernails so I could scratch chalkboards in the classroom. Now I've got to start all over again. Thanks a lot Nicholas Winding Refn!
