Today's the first day of school. It's also my first day of supply teaching. I went to my old school for the afternoon and did some special education-oriented paperwork. IPRC packages, class lists, class visits, etc. I also had a yard duty in the afternoon. One little kid didn't want to line up at the end of recess. She just wanted to stay at her picnic table with her knapsac, drawing colourful pictures with her arsenal of pencil crayons. I guess my friends and I used to do the same thing when we were playing marbles or trading hockey cards. But marbles and hockey cards are not the same thing as drawing colourful pictures. Not in the least bit.
