st lawrence market / pho hung

Here is an entry on my class field trip on Thursday afternoon & evening. At 3pm I met Beatriz, Alberto, and Satoshi in the courtyard. Along with Christina, Theresa and Lucy we strolled to Museum Station through the greenery of Philosopher's Walk. From Museum we rode the subway south to Union. The seven of us then took in the sights along Front Street as we headed eastward to the St. Lawrence Market. With the opening of the busker's festival Front was closed, offering a variety of shop stalls and entertainers for us to explore. We split up and agreed to meet at the northwest entrance of the market at 4:30. I walked around with some of the students and then got a grande Americano at Starbucks and read some of my Hugh Hoods book, The Governer's Bridge is Closed. On finding Satoshi and Alberto we snapped some photos around the south end of the market (south building). Then, after the ladies arrived, we all headed out into the busker's festival. Satoshi headed back to Union Staion, as he wanted to get to the Batta Shoe Museum. The rest of us stepped along Front and then up Yonge to the Eaton Centre. Rather than checking out the clothing shops Alberto and I strolled up Bay and back to Trinity College. At 8pm I met up with Satoshi, Yuri, Nao, and Marie. We then went to Pho Hung for a nice Vietnamese dinner on Bloor St.
