auction follow up

This is the hotly anticipated follow-up to my previous entry. Ah, yes, it is time to report on the outcome of those Ruth auctions on eBay. Well, let's deal with the valuable card first. That 1921 Nielson's Ruth card ended up selling for $2247 US. Yep, that's right $2247. Now I'll tell you about the cheap card. The Ruth-Gehrig Classic Combos bat card (#2 of 25) sold for $425 US. Perhaps I should try selling things on eBay instead of buying. Then again, perhaps not.

What happened to the Yankees? I wonder if A-Rod and Torre would join the glory that is the Jays and accept a few Gretzky rookie cards in lieu of their salaries (which together add up to $29 million US). Yeah, that's very reasonable.
