last day of 06

Drove to Fairview for some returns/shopping on Sat Dec 30. It wasn't too busy. We then trekked to Ikea and bought some house stuff. Unlike Fairview, Ikea was pretty hectic with strollers and kids lurking about every section of the store (K & S included). After Ikea we had dinner at my dad's. K stayed over. We were planning on having K stay over next week but she was rather forceful in expressing her desire to have a more immediate visit. SJ and I had a lazy Sunday morning and early afternoon. Not bad for the last day of the year. Dad and Marilyn dropped K off in the afternoon. We later went out to one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in the city for dinner (a New Year's Eve tradition).
