another road trip

Went on another road trip on Friday/Saturday.

We took a bus down to the bottom of the peninsula. We went to Hwae Do. It's an island just southwest of Pusan. Hwae Do has a famous botanical garden. A famous soap opera was shot there a few years ago. It's now a tourist attraction.

We didn't see any movie stars as we strolled around the island, but we did go to a nice coffee shop with a super view. The mainland area near Hwae Do is known as the sardine capital of Korea. So, we bought some boxes of dried sardines. One box had regular-sized sardines and the other had very small sardines. That box with the very small sardines was for Katie.

Now we're back in Seoul. The bus ride back was about 6 and a half hours. The best thing about taking a bus somewhere in Korea is that there is a special bus lane on the highways. I felt very important as I gazed out the window at all of the cars we whizzed by.
