stroll / short film

Went for a walk after dinner. We strolled through the Lotte Mall, the nearby park, and Samsung Plaza. We went into a stationary shop and Suk Ja got some hair pins, a ring, and a little toy for Katie. Katie dropped the toy a couple of times from the stroller and we had to retrace our steps and find it. Then, we figured out a way of attaching it to the stroller belt. When Katie fell asleep we went to a coffee shop. I read When My Name Was Keoko for a long time. I've read a lot about Korea's colonial period before, but it's sadder reading about some of the things that happened in the fictional domain. It personalizes everything.

I'm going to make a short film with a friend on Saturday. It's called 'The Camera Test.' It's about a director and an actor struggling to make a screen test. Neither of the two is very clever. It's a lot of fun writing lines for characters who believe that they are savvy but are about as far from savvy as anyone could ever get.
